4. Comments from the public to members of the city council concerning items that are not on the city council agenda. People wishing to address the council should sign up prior to the start of the meeting. A three-minute time frame will be adhered to for those addressing their concerns. Since comments from citizens are not posted agenda items, the City Council is prohibited from deliberating or taking any action, other than a proposal to place the item on a future agenda. Staff may provide factual statements in response to inquiries or recite existing policy.

Public Hearing and Ordinances (a) Conduct a public hearing and consider and take action on an ordinance finding certain buildings and/or structures to be dangerous; requiring property owners to demolish said buildings and/or structures within thirty (30) days of the date of this ordinance and declaring an emergency and immediate effective date i. 8.(a) Resolution authorizing the City Manager, or his designee, to make application to FEMA for the FY 2024 Assistance to Firefighters Grant to support emergency medical service delivery by adding 14 cardiac monitors at a cost of $852,423.46
8.(b) Resolution authorizing the City of Wichita Falls to adopt the Wichita Falls Community Wildfire Protection Plan to ensure the City continues to mitigate and reduce the overall damage caused by Wildfires that will impact the City of Wichita Falls
8.(c) Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute all documents necessary to make application for the Community Wildfire Defense Grant up to 10 million dollars with no match waiver
8.(d) Resolution confirming an appointment to the Firefighters and Police Officers’ Civil Service Commission
